Lighthouse Ministries was founded in February 1989 and is sponsored by Hillside Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. Lighthouse Ministries Includes a local jail ministry, Bible correspondence courses and Landmark Bible Institute. In late 2016, Hillside Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN became our sponsoring church.

Local Jail Ministry: Our jail ministry covers three jails in east Tennessee and north Georgia. We minister and preach in these jails each week.

Bible Correspondence Courses: Bible courses are available to inmates and their families. These courses are reaching into jails and prisons in all fifty states.  They are going where we cannot physically go. Our courses are designed to show an inmate how to be saved and then disciple and help him become a mature christian. In all we offer thirty-eight different studies.

Landmark Bible Institute: We are also pleased to be able to offer a seminary level Bible course through our Bible Institute. With this course an English Bible Diploma can be earned. Praise God, we have inmates who have completed this course and gone on to serve the Lord in Christian service.

At Lighthouse Ministries we teach, counsel, and preach the Word. We are also involved in printing and distributing literature as well as a tape ministry. Along with the Bible courses, we distribute New Testaments, Bibles and dictionaries.
